Brandenburg is proud to present one of our favourite musical nights of the year - we’re joined by award winning work place choirs Citi London Choir and Lewisham & Greenwich NHS Choir.
Citi London Choir was established in 2013 by Gareth Malone, competing with other workplace choirs in his highly popular BBC television series Sing While You Work. They made their way to the final which was broadcast from Ely Cathedral at Christmas that year to a TV audience of more than 3 million people. Since then, the Choir has grown from 22 to 40 singers and continues to draw from all levels and departments in Citi’s Canary Wharf office. Led by top music professionals Dan Ludford Thomas and Peter Mitchell, the Choir rehearses weekly, performing a diverse repertoire for clients, colleagues, and the community.
The Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Choir were first seen on Gareth Malone’s BBC2 show, “Sing While You Work” in 2012. Since then the choir has continued to be run by staff on a voluntary basis in their free time and has gone from strength to strength. The choir are all staff at the Trust and work across two hospitals and various community sites.
Led by their musical director, Philip Mitchell, they continue to perform and raise money to support the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Charitable funds.
